We cannot tell a lie: This is one lovely (though strange) art installation
Trees make for interesting?art installations, that's for sure. And anyone who's been to Washington D.C., especially in the spring time, is probably familiar with the famous cherry trees scattered throughout the capital. British artist?Tom Price was inspired by those trees to create a stunning and surreal forest made entirely of polypropylene pipes and nylon cable ties.
What they lack in real-life green foliage, they more than make up for with their captivating design. We can't say we'd swap the plants in our yard for them, but spending a day huddled in the shade of the hulking plastic giants would likely be an experience like no other.
The trees filled an entire room at the?Industry Gallery, sweeping trunks and delicate "leaves" that created dappled light patterns on the floor.
