It is that time of the year again! To help start the holiday season, we are going to suggest some sustainable decorating ideas for your home. These ideas are low in cost since they are natural and they are great to make with the family on a snowy day. So get your hot chocolate ready and let the holiday?decorating?begin!
To spice up your fireplace mantel, simply take jute, or any ribbon of your choice, a single whole punch, scissors, paper, and a marker. Cut the paper into letters or any shape. Next, take your marker, if you wish, to write words that spread some holiday cheer. Fish your ribbon through the wholes and continue to do so until you have as many pieces of paper as desired. Now you have some lovely garland!
A great center piece to make is taking an LED candle, a hot glue gun, candy canes, and a ribbon. All you do is unwrap the candy canes from the plastic and glue them to the LED candle. Be sure each candy cane is dry completely before gluing another candy cane on the candle. Once all of the candy canes are glued onto the candle, tie a ribbon around it to add more flare.
